Kahayag sa Plaza visitors to increase from 50 to 100 persons every 15 minutes!

Following tonights opening, the number of visitors to be accommodated inside the plaza will be increased to avoid long queues on the streets starting tomorrow December 16, 2020.

The number of visitors are expected to rise however the public is advised that the health protocols and security check will be strictly implemented.

Visitors will be expected to fill in the guest information sheets for contact tracing purposes. Those with 37.5°c and above body temperature will not be allowed to enter along with those who are wearing caps and backpacks for security reasons.

Todays opening ceremony headed by Hon. Romeo Araña was done virtually which was posted via the Midsayap Tourism Facebook accounts. The virtual opening is a new normal setting for a Christmas Lights Opening Ceremony which was use to be done in public.

The first night of the public display was smoothly implemented with nearly 400 individuals visited the plaza from 6 pm – 8 pm. Only 50 persons per batch were allowed to enter the plaza with 15 minutes alloted time for each group to take photos. Those without facemasks and faceshields were not allowed to enter the plaza. Foot baths and hand sanitation kits were also available at the entrance.

LGU Midsayap believes that good mental health is an integral part of ones being to cope up in this time of pandemic. However, the Local Government also believes that to contribute further for the safety of everyone, all are to follow the health and safety protocols and better yet enjoy Christmas in the comfort of their homes.
